Plains, Trains and Automobiles

A very none Sheffield image

Returning to Cryptology after 2.5 years was part of a conscious effort to remove one stress from the work/life balance…the mega commute to the other side of the Pennines. It brought into sharp focus the pain of either finding a train to get somewhere or finding somewhere to park when the entire office decided to come in for one day to prove everyone wasn’t an AI generated meme.

That has changed now because of Cryptology Sheffield Escape Rooms city centre location I can use a combination of transportation methods to get to work depending on my requirements. For those days where I don’t need to bring something in/make a trip to a certain DIY merchant for supplies/transport a plethora of rubbish to the tip, I can take the train. Getting on at Wombwell and either choosing to get the tram from Meadowhall up to the West street stop OR carrying on through to Sheffield station and having a leisurely 20 minute walk up through Sheffield can give me time to decompress or think about my plan of action for the day. Alternatively, I can choose to drive in and either park directly outside in the Eldon Street car park or one of the many NCPs.

Eldon Street Car Park

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying my commutes are perfect by any stretch of the imagination, BUT they are far better than they used to be and if one mode of transport fails there is normally an alternative.

Also why did I put plains in the title, simply, I like John Candy movies and I work with wood while building new experiences at Cryptology Sheffield. Speaking of which, the next experience is coming soon and now that the ceiling isn’t dripping grotty water we can complete it.

Cryptology Sheffield’s next game!
